It is easy to get discouraged and have a bout of what I call POD Frustration when you are working on your Print on Demand (POD) business. After all it takes a while to get started and there are lots of ups and downs. As a beginner you are trading time (a lengthy learning curve) for having low investment capital. As you become more experienced you run into dry spells, announced changes is the platforms you use and many other variables that often seem to conspire against us.
Why POD Frustration Happens
One aspect of Print on Demand is especially prone to giving you that feeling that you are not succeeding. Print on Demand products don’t sell regularly and this leads to POD Frustration. You can launch 10 new products and maybe three will be successful. The rest will fall flat. Out of the three, one may really make you money. The key word in the previous couple of sentences was “maybe.” Your 10 product launches might result in zero products that make money (or it might have five.) That is why we describe a “winning product” as “a product that sells.” We really don’t know in advance which products are going to sell and as a result we tend to launch quite a few that do not sell.
Defeating POD Frustration By Changing Your Mindset
Working on your mindset is one of the most critical skills a Print On Demand Seller can develop. Unfortunately there are very few trainers who teach you how to work on your mindset. They all agree that it is critical, but mindset is not their specialty so it is usually given a lick and a promise.
Using Tapping to Reduce Pod Frustration
I have spent the last year or so working on various ways to reduce the frustration of working in the Print on Demand field. For me the typical feeling was “I’ve launched several products and none of them were successful. I’m going to fail this time, just like last time.” Talk about a buzz kill. Even though I continue on, I’m certainly not giving my best effort when I am feeling that frustrated.
I worked with various kinds of meditation and have even gone to a hypnotherapist several times over the last few months (and I’ll go again.)
I finally found something that worked quickly and easily for me and I’m sharing that now. The technique is called Tapping (or EFT).
PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT a professional or experienced tapper. I just found that it works for me and I am sharing that with you.
Tapping to Reduce/Eliminate POD Frustration
Tapping involves physically tapping on what the professionals call meridian points around the upper body. These are some of the same points that acupuncture therapists use.

How does Tapping (EFT) Work?
Here is a quote from an article by Klara Anthony
Similar to acupuncture, EFT focuses on the meridian points — or energy hot spots — to restore balance to your body’s energy. It’s believed that restoring this energy balance can relieve symptoms a negative experience or emotion may have caused.
Based on Chinese medicine, meridian points are thought of as areas of the body energy flows through. These pathways help balance energy flow to maintain your health. Any imbalance can influence disease or sickness.
Acupuncture uses needles to apply pressure to these energy points. EFT uses fingertip tapping to apply pressure.
TAPPING TO REDUCE POD FRUSTRATION RESULTS
I am going to provide you with a tapping script. For me using this script resulted in a major change within a few days. I actually felt that I could feel a change the first time I used the script.

Here is the script. I have included a downloadable Word files so that you can print this out and use it. You can also modify it so that it better fits the way you think.
I AM GOING TO FAIL, JUST LIKE LAST TIME.
A tapping script modified by Hale Pringle
SCRIPT 1: Interrupting the Negative Thought
Start with a Truth Statement: Read aloud and rate how true it is from 0 to 10: “I am going to fail, just like last time.” (Remember your score.)
Set Up Phrase. Read aloud three times while tapping on the side of your hand:
“Even though I am going to fail, just like last time, I love and accept myself.”
Tap Through the Body for 3 minutes. Read the following phrases aloud while tapping spots 1 thru 8.
1. I am going to fail, just like last time.
2. I have tried this before.
3. It didn’t work last time and
it’s not going to work this time
4.I know I’m going to fail again
that I will fail frustrates the hell out
6. I am not doing POD right.
7. I just can’t figure out making money online.
8. It makes me feel like a failure.
Loop through these for 3 min.
SCRIPT 2: Replace the Negative Thoughts (3 min)
choose to know this time is different.
2. I am not trying to do this on will power alone.
3. This time I am dealing with the emotional issues of selling online.
4. I am not just trying to change my procedures and techniques.
5. I am doing work on my whole emotional system.
6. This is going to allow me to be successful.
7. I might have failed in the past.
8. But this time I will succeed.
Loop though these for 3 minutes
Then Read aloud and re-rate how true it is from 0 to 10: I am going to fail, just like last time. If the statement is still true at some level start over.

One Last Tip
I find that when I sit down at my computer, I dive right into the work. It is a conditioned reflex. I find it very difficult to stop and reflect on what I am doing. To tap or just take a few deep breathes and “get in the mood.” I found a very simple solution. I face my desk chair in the opposite direction. Once I’m not facing the computer, it is much easier to work on my mind set.
